Mary Jane Pesha, 70, of Lexington, Nebraska, died Monday, October 29, 2007, at her home in Lexington.     

She was born March 28, 1937, at Lexington, Nebraska, to Ralph Dwight and Matilda Clementine (Welter) Fagot. Jane grew up in Lexington and graduated from Lexington High School with the class of 1954. Following graduation, Jane went to work at the ASCS office in Lexington until she was united in marriage to Jerry Pesha. The couple were married February 23, 1963, at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Lexington. They were blessed with four girls; Pam, Kim, Vickie and Teri.     

Jane stayed home and raised the girls until Teri was in kindergarten and then went to work for Nebraska Natural Gas. She worked there until retiring in 1994. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church and the Altar Circle. She enjoyed her involvement in the church and helped fold bulletins for many years. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary as well as the Lexington Jaycees. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, jumble puzzles, traveling, playing cards, and Yahtzee. She really loved having coffee with her friends and spending time with her daughters and their families.   

Survivors include four daughters: Pam (Rod) Schmidt of Wichita, Kansas, Kim (Andy) Doering of Lyons, Colorado, Vickie Stadler of Holdrege, Nebraska, Teri (Scott) Wayman of Lincoln, Nebraska. One brother: Leo Fagot of Lexington, Nebraska. Two sisters: Clementine King of Lexington, Nebraska Veronica (Ted) Scholl of Kearney, Nebraska. Nine grandchildren: Jordynn & Jerrod Schmidt; Maddie & Piper Doering; Nicholas & Mikayla Stadler and Tyler, Avery & Jake Wayman. Two sisters-in-law: Beth Clemans of Grand Island, Nebraska Charlene Nott of Arapahoe, Nebraska. One brother-in-law: Tom Pesha of Grand Island, Nebraska.     

Jane was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry; two brothers, Ralph and Dwight and two sisters, Virginia and Bernadette.     

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, November 2, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Lexington with Reverend Paul Colling officiating. Burial will be in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery at Lexington. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 1, 2007, from 4-6 p.m. with Wake/Rosary Service to follow at 6:00 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington. Memorials are suggested to Tri-County Hospital Hospice or the Donor's choice. Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington is in charge of arrangements.
