Leland K. Zwick, 70, of Albert Lea, Minn., died Wednesday, July 25, 2007, in Osceola, Wis. Services were held Monday, July 30, 2007, at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea, Minn. The Rev. Dan Baker officiated. Interment was in Hillcrest Cemetery in Albert Lea, Minn. Military honors were conducted. Bonnerup Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.  

Survivors include his wife, Sandra; two daughters, Andrea (Jeff) Strom and Stephanie (Jason) Bolinger all of Albert Lea, Minn.; grandchildren: Tarrah Hall, Scott, Casey and Savannah Strom; Josie and Ike Bolinger; brother, Richard (Eveline) Zwick of Seward; sisters, Armelda Schreiber of Stockton, Calif. and Betty (Don) Hofferber of Lexington; sisters and brothers-in law: LaVonne (Don) Adams of Lake Mills, Iowa, Daniel (Judy) Hanson of Albert Lea, Minn. Mary (David) Adamson of Burnsville, Minn., Jim (Judy) Hanson of Albert Lea, Minn., Sharon Hanson and Jan Pasmore of Zephyr Hills, Fla., Jerry Hanson of Buffalo, Nancy Poore of Carpentersville, Ill., Paul (Mary) Hanson of Dresser, Wis., Sonja Woolson of Osceola, Wis., Pam (Paul) Jerdee of Albert Lea, Minn. and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.   

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Edith Wobig, and her husband Earle and brother-in-law, Floyd Woolson.   

He was born on Aug. 7, 1936, in Gresham, to Richard C. and Louise (Abrahams) Zwick. Leland attended school in Buffalo, and then graduated in 1954 from Lexington High School. He worked at Jack and Jill store in Lexington during high school and after until he joined the Air Force. He served our country in the U.S. Air Force from June of 1957 until his honorable discharge in December of 1960. When he returned from the service, he began working for Nash Finch, and then in the 60s he became manager of Cut Low Grocery in Albert Lea, Minn. It was here that he met Sandra Hanson, whom he married on April 11, 1970. He then worked at Barmore Drug in Lexington, and later at Drug Supply Co., L.S. Sorem and Key Sales, in Albert Lea, Minn., retiring from full-time work in 1998. In his retirement, he began working at the rest stop in Interstate 35 near the Iowa border. He was a member of the Elks, Eagles and American Legion.
