OBITUARY

Services for Duane A. Liehs, 50, Lexington, will be at 10:00 a.m. today, November 2, 2002, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lexington, with Pastor Michael Gruhn officiating.

Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Lexington.

Duane died Wednesday, October 30, 2002, at the Tri-County Hospital in Lexington. He was born July 5, 1952, at the Tri-County Hospital in Lexington to Richard A. and Lena (Woodside) Liehs. He grew up in Lexington where he attended school, graduating from Lexington High School with the Class of 1972. This last summer, he was able to attend his 30th class reunion and had a wonderful time.

Duane worked at Liehs Drilling as a driller's helper since graduating from high school. He was unable to work for the past couple of years due to failing health.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lexington. He loved to hunt and fish.

Survivors include his mother, Lena Liehs, Longmont, Colorado; two brothers, Wes (Vesta) Liehs, Lexington, and Doug (Linda) Liehs, Fremont; two sisters, Wanda Liehs and Pam Nelson, both of Longmont, Colorado; five nieces; one nephew, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father.

Memorials are suggested to the Lexington Volunteer Fire Department.
