Maxine N. Martin, 59, of Elm Creek, died Oct. 7, 2014 at the Nebraska Heart Institute in Lincoln.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, Oct. 13, 2014 at the O'Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home in Kearney with the Rev. Jeremy Jech officiating. Interment will be at 1:30 p.m. in the Elm Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will from 3:00-5:00 p.m.., Sunday, Oct. 12, at the funeral home.

She was born May 9, 1955 in Lexington to Guadalupe and Leona Gonzalez. She grew up in Lexington, Cozad and the Gothenburg area. She received her GED in 1977. She received her education at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, graduating in 2004.

She lived a long and happy life until the end. Her hobbies included, crocheting, knitting and coloring, which she also enjoyed teaching.

Survivors include husband, Sam Randall of Elm Creek, oldest son, Ron (Shelly) Martin of Harvard, oldest daughter, Charity (Wayne) Dudding of Johnson Lake, daughter, Penny (Terry) Davis of Oconto, son, Tom (Melissa) of Shelton, son, Henry (Annie) Schram of Lexington and youngest daughter, Faye Schram of Elm Creek. She will also be missed by 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, her extended family and friends that she has made over the years.

She was preceded in death by both parents.

Memorials are suggested to the Nebraska Heart Institute in Lincoln.
