Kay Hasty Van Booven, 47, Atlanta, formerly Lincoln, died peacefully Thursday (11/16/06) with her friend, Ron Smith, by her side.

Born, Bridgeport.

Graduate, Lexington High School.

Earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln School of Journalism, master's degree from Webster University in Kansas City.

Worked for the Phoenix New Times before moving to Atlanta to work for Ted Turner.

Loved dogs, music, Johnson Lake with all its activities, football and anything associated with Nebraska.
