Ronald Ray Hill, age 50, of North Platte, died on Wednesday, March 4, 2008 at his home after an illness with brain cancer. Memorial services will be Monday, March 10, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at Carpenter Memorial Chapel in North Platte.
Cremation was chosen. Those wishing to sign the memorial book may do so on Thursday, March 6 and Friday, March 7 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Monday until service time.
Survivors include his wife, Penny of North Platte; his mother, Mae (Larry) Keen of Kearney; a daughter, Misty (James) Strobel of North Platte; two grandsons, Justin and Dylon; four brothers, Robert (Debi) Hill of Talequah, Okla., Kenny (Diane) Hill, Larry (Jody) Hill of North Platte and Rick Hill of Lexington; nieces and nephews.
Ronald was preceded in death by his father, grandparents and a brother, Randy.
He was born July 14, 1957 to Raymond and Mae (Shewey) Hill in Norton, Kans. He grew up in the Norton and Lexington areas.
On March 8, 1975, he was united in marriage to Penny Deselms in Norton. Ronald did construction for various people and they moved to North Platte in 1993. He enjoyed fishing with his grandsons and was an avid NASCAR fan.
