Jayson Thomas Maloley, 60, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away Monday, November 14, 2011, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. He was born May 8, 1951, at Lexington, Nebraska to Faud N. and Wanda A. (Maalouli) Maloley. Jayson attended District #17 country school and graduated from Lexington High School with the class of 1969. He then attended Kearney State College.     

Jayson was united in marriage to Elaine El-Rayess at the St. John's Orthodox Church in Beirut, Lebanon on March 1, 1981. Three children were blessed to this marriage; Samia, Eli and Tanya.     

Jayson farmed for a time and worked at Electric Fixture & Supply for many years. At the time of Jayson's death he was working as a welder at Baldwin's in Gothenburg and also at Stoney's in Lexington.     

He enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading Western novels, helping his customers at Electric Fixture & Supply, the Nebraska Cornhuskers, fly-fishing and spending time with his family. He grew up attending the St. George Orthodox Church in Kearney, Nebraska.     

Survivors include his parents of Lexington, Nebraska. One son: Eli and wife Leah Maloley of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Two daughters: Samia and husband James Maul of Fresno, California, Tanya Maloley of Kearney, Nebraska, One brother: Jim Maloley of Lexington, Nebraska. Two sisters: Josephine (Greg) Awtry of York, Nebraska, Janet (Dave) Bendler of Johnson Lake, Nebraska, Three grandchildren: Jehu, Judah & Zoe Maloley.      Jayson was preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins     

Funeral Services will be Saturday, November 19, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington, Nebraska with Pastor Dave Boedeker officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, November 18, 2011, from 5-7 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington. Memorials are suggested to the Family for later designation. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington.

Douglas Scott Torrance, 62, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at Plum Creek Healthcare Community in Lexington, following a brief battle with cancer.     

He was born January 14, 1951, at Eglin AFB, Florida, to Jack and LaDonna (Frank) Torrance. Doug moved to Lexington as a boy where he attended grade school, junior high and high school, graduating with the class of 1969. In 1973, he moved to Montana and returned to his hometown of Lexington in 2001.     He was a kind man who thought the world of his family and was a generous friend who will be so very missed by all who knew and loved him.     

Survivors include two brothers; Bill (Donna) Torrance of Naples, Florida; and, Larry Doughty of Lexington, Nebraska; one sister, Cindy (Lonnie Dee) Highland of Loveland, Colorado; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.     

Doug was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, John.It was Doug's wishes that his body be cremated. The family has honored those wishes. A Private Family Celebration will be held at a later date.
