Bobby White, 73, of Grand Island died Monday, May 17, 2021, at his home in Grand Island.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Friday, May 21, 2021, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Island with the Rev. Kelly Karges officiating. Burial will be at 12:30 PM in the Cotesfield Cemetery at Cotesfield, NE.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM Thursday at the Apfel Funeral Home – Grand Island. Memorials are suggested to the Cross Point Band at Trinity United Methodist Church.

Bobby D. White was born October 29, 1947, at Lexington, NE to Earl and Florence (Rhoadarmer) White. He grew up helping with farm chores and milking the cows. He attended South 17 Elementary School and Lexington Public Schools. Following high school, he moved to Denver, CO and attended Parks Business School.

Bobby married Linda Bogus Engerly in May of 1980. They made their home on a farm near St. Libory where Bob served as a member of the St. Libory Volunteer Fire Department. He also enjoyed volunteering at the Nebraska State Fair when it moved to Grand Island. Bob thoroughly enjoyed helping customers while working at Ace Hardware in the outdoor power department. He loved helping customers understand and learn about the new equipment.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Cross Point Band. Bob also enjoyed going on church mission trips, working on the farm, and trimming trees. Bob was an avid Husker football fan and enjoyed fishing since retiring.

Survivors include his wife, Judith White of Grand Island; daughter, Rhonda White of Kearney; three sons, Adam White of Grand Island, Aaron White of Hannibal, MO and Daniel White of Lyn Haven, FL; two sisters, Mary Jane Hinrichsen of Grand Island and Phyllis Kracman of North Platte; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Becky White of Moville, IA; and sister-in-law, Lynette White of Lexington, NE.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard White; sister, Norma Abood, daughter, Renae White; and brothers-in-law, Ray Hinrichsen and Larry Kracman.
