Cynthia R. Barnes, 82 of San Antonio, TX went to the Lord peacefully on 14 April 2015.

She was born 8 June 1932 in Sumner, Nebraska to Cecil Washburn and Leola Eaton.

She was married 41 years to Robert L. Barnes.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Cynthia was a devoted child of God, wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her brother William (Jacquee) Washburn; sister Shirley Munson; beloved sister-in-laws Donna [Barnes] Crain and JoAnn [Barnes] Woehrle; children Barb (Steve) Gates, Rodney (Diane) Barnes, William (Lynnette) Barnes, and Bobbye Sullivan; grandchildren Bill, Richard, Ricci, Ryan, Anthony; great-grandchildren Jude, Harley Cate; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was a faithful servant to our Lord; a church pianist for 40 years; dedicated to her friends from Fairview Evangelical Free Church and Floresville First Baptist Church - especially the Hope Sunday School class. Her spiritual gift (Romans 12:6-8) was 'Serving' and she will be lovingly remembered for the encouraging cards and notes she sent.

A 1:30 p.m., Graveside Service will be held on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Mission Burial Park South. Memorials may be made to Samaritan's Purse or Salvation Army.
