Scott and I were married February 1986. Corky had worked as and LPN for approximately 10 years before becoming a mommy in July 1992 and she took a year off from full time work to be Lindsey’s mom. Then in 1994, Corky began working one day a week at KRVN doing some desktop publishing work for the sales department. Little by little her part time job turned into a full time job with learning the ins and outs of web design. She worked at KRVN til Fall of 2000 when she decided she wanted to slow down a bit and enjoy life some. About 6 months later, she started her own web design business out of our home and kept VERY busy. Working from home allowed her the flexibility to attend Lindsey’s activities, volunteer at church, etc. she still works from home, but has begun to slow down and no longer take new jobs.

     Corky enjoys a multitude of crafts including crochet, sewing, quilting, card making, woodworking, embroidery. Gardening and working in the yard keeps her busy in the summer time. We enjoy the fruits of our labor all year long because we preserve beans, corn, tomatoes and pickles from the garden. Corky also enjoys traveling with her travel buddy Deb Brummet. Which reminds me…. We need to plan our next Thelma and Louise trip!

     Scott continues to farm with his brother Rob. We lost both of Scott’s parents in 2016 which leaves a huge void in our lives. Scott’s hobbies include cars and car shows, guns and reloading, target shooting. Ask him anything about guns, he’s a walking encyclopedia. He is a 20 year cancer survivor!! We are blessed!! We have enjoyed taking in an occasional UNL baseball game and basketball game and plan to do more of this in the future.

     Our daughter is 24 and works as a cook at Kearney Holiday Inn and Younes Convention Center and loves her job.
