Cory was born June 16, 1975, in Grand Island, Nebraska, to Clifford and Janet (Nelson) Brown. Cory attended elementary school in Lexington at Morton and Bryan.  He then attended Lexington Junior High before heading to Lexington High School where he graduated with the class of 1994. In high school Cory participated in football and wrestling.  
Following High School, Cory went to work for Tenneco Monroe’s in Cozad. Cory was united in marriage to Lisa Seberger in 1998. Two children were blessed to this union: Clifford and Gabriella.  They would later divorce. 
Cory lived the majority of his life living and working in Lexington. He enjoyed landscaping, mowing lawns and cutting down trees for work.  He was working at Pizza Hut at the time of his death.
Cory found love again with Merinda Pesek and was like a father for her children.
Cory enjoyed watching funny movies, listening to music, fishing and reading his Bible. He also had a knack for working on motorcycles and 3-wheelers.  Cory always looked forward to going for a ride on his Harley.  Family was very important to Cory and spending time with his friends.
Survivors include his parents, Clifford and Janet Brown of Lexington, Nebraska; significant other, Merinda Pesek; two sons, Clifford B. Brown of Lexington, Nebraska and Jade Dean Brown of Cozad, Nebraska; four daughters, Gabriella Janay Brown of Midland, Texas, Tesia Marie Pesek, Hailey Marie Boutin and Alicia Marie Pesek all of Johnson Lake, Nebraska; one brother, Shane Brown and fiancé (Jessica Todd) of Lincoln, Nebraska; one granddaughter, Zahaylee Pesek of Johnson Lake, Nebraska; two nephews, Logan Brown of Lexington, Nebraska and Tyson Brown of Waverly; one niece, Piper Brown of Lincoln, Nebraska; also surviving are aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and many friends.
Cory was preceded in death by his grandparents, and a nephew, Gabriel Allen.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 10, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at LexChristian Church in Lexington with Pastor James Morton, officiating.
Visitation will be on Thursday, May 10, 2018, from 9-11 a.m. at LexChristian Church in Lexington.
Following the traditional funeral service, cremation will take place and a private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
Memorials are kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
