Robert Miller, age 56, of Cozad, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012 at his home in Cozad.
Robert was born December 29, 1955 in Africa, at Kagnew Station, Asmara, Ethiopia/Eritrea to David and Margaretha (Foell) Miller. As a youngster, Robert and his family moved around the world often as a result of his father's military service. After his father's discharge from the U.S. Army, the family settled in Lexington, where Robert attended school, and graduated high school with the class of 1974.
Following his schooling, Robert moved to Denver, Colorado, where he owned and operated a wood handling business. For nearly 30 years, he cut, split and delivered firewood to homes all around the Denver area. Robert then moved to Cozad to be closer to his family, where he owned several exceptional rental properties.
Robert loved the mountains and nature. He was generous, at times to a fault, and gave freely to those around him in need. He was so very proud to have recently celebrated his 23rd year of sobriety with A.A.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, David; paternal grandparents, Pete and Katherine Miller; and maternal grandparents, Jakob and Josefine Foell; maternal aunts and uncles, Fritz Foell, Jakob Foell, Vince & Klara Kaiser, Maximillion Kloo all from Germany and paternal aunts and uncles Pete Miller, John Miller, Hank Miller, Fred Miller, Alex Miller, Louise Gullion, Kate Gordon and Marie Dodge; cousins, David Gullion, Gene Dodson and Dianne Hollibaugh.
Survivors include mother, Margaretha Kloepping; sister, Carolyn (Gayle) Wize of Willow Island; brother, David J.
