Patrick T. O'Callaghan, 66, of Hastings, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007, at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until service time, Sunday, Jan. 21, 2007, at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington. Funeral services will be Sunday, Jan. 21, 2007, at 2 p.m., at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington, with Pastor Irwin Edwards officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington. Reynolds-Love Funeral Home of Lexington is in charge of arrangements.    

Survivors include one son, Randy (Lori) O'Callaghan of Hastings; two daughters, Connie L. O'Callaghan and partner Jay Poland of Hastings, and Glatha (John) Calvin of Callaway; one brother, David (Connie) O'Callaghan of Georgetown, Calif.; one sister, Alyce (Charles) Olsen of Albuquerque, N.M.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and many friends. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margaret, in 2000; and his step-father, Larry Hermann.

Patrick was born Sept. 24, 1940, at Omaha, to Alvin Eugene and Alyce (Parkhurst) O'Callaghan. He moved to Lexington as a young man with his family and graduated from Lexington High School with the class of 1959. Following graduation, he entered the United States Air Force serving in Korea. Following his stint in the service, he returned to the States where he married Margaret Baier on May 9, 1964, at Walla Walla, Wash.     

The couple moved to Nebraska in 1966, in the Lexington/Cozad area. He worked at Monroe Auto in Cozad and in 1994, they moved to Albuquerque, N.M., until 1996, when they moved to Hastings. As a collector, Patrick would find old toys to refurbish and share with the kids, along with his talent of wood-working. Memorials are suggested to the Family for later designation.
