Marvin Odell Loschen, 77, of Lexington, Nebraska, died Sunday, July 10, 2011, at BryanLGH East Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was born April 1, 1934 in Lexington, Nebraska to George and Irene (Soucie) Loschen. Marvin was a 1952 graduate of Lexington High School. He was united in marriage to Patsy Wing on June 18, 1953, at Lexington, Nebraska. Three children were blessed to this marriage; Marvin E. (Butch), Susan and Tammy.

Marvin's working years included 10 years spent as a Care Home Administrator in Deshler and Valentine, Nebraska, farming and driving semi. He spent 12 years with Speedway Trucking. He then owned and operated his own trucks while driving for C.R. England Trucking Company. Prior to his death he was driving truck for Mark Allen. Of note, and a fact that Marvin was so proud of, is helping build fences on I-80 for the new interstate from North Platte, Nebraska to York, Nebraska.

He was a charter member of Grace Lutheran Church where he was currently serving on the church council and was past director of youth services. He was also an active member of the Lexington Rotary club.

Marvin's idea of fun was to play Pinochle with the card club that he and Patsy were members of for 50 years. When you saw that twinkle in his eye and his little grin you knew he was up to something! Through the years he loved to square dance, go camping, help with the Rotary Easter egg hunts, Nascar, and being with his family. He always made everyone feel comfortable and welcome and he never knew a stranger. He will be so very missed.
