Ronald Eugene Wickenkamp, 73, of Seal Beach, Calif., died Feb. 4, 2007.

Funeral mass was held Feb. 15, 2007, at St Pancratius Church in Lakewood, Calif. Burial was at All Souls Cemetery in Long Beach, Calif. Luyben Family Dilday-Mottell Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline and her children, Michelle Lundvall, and Michael and Mark Powers; one sister, Ruth Wickenkamp Reed of Lakeland, Fla.; one brother, Paul (Betty) Wickenkamp of Holyoke, Colo.; one sister-in-law, Virginia Wickenkamp of Post Falls, Idaho; and by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister, Eunice; and his brother, Theodore.  

Ronald was born July 30, 1933, at Elwood, to Walter and Ruby Moncrief Wickenkamp. He attended rural schools and graduated from Lexington High School in 1951. He was a member of the First Christian Church at Lexington.

He studied radio and electronics at Milford Trade School for one year then returned to Lexington to work.   

Ronald served in the Army Signal Corps during the Korean War. After separation from the army he enrolled at the University of Nebraska. He returned to Lexington where he worked as a mechanic, then moved to California where he worked for his brother Theodore. He was employed by Douglas Air Craft Corp. of Long Beach, Calif. for many years. 

 Ronald married Jacqueline Walker Powers Nov. 13, 1965. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Pancratius Church of Lakewood, Calif.
