Daniel C. Dorwart, age 75, of Plymouth. Loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, died of pneumonia Saturday, March 8, 2008 surrounded by those who loved him dearly.

Preceded in death by his son, Danny.

Survived by his wife of 54 years, Kathy; children, Amy Thering and her husband Ray, MaryBeth Heilman and her husband Mark, Michael Dorwart and his wife Nancy, Dr. Andrew Dorwart and his wife Dr. Kathy, Sara Kenefick and her husband Mike, Philip Dorwart and his wife Desiree and foster son, Tao Nguyen and his wife HongHanh; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Harry Dorwart; sister, Penny Dorwart; as well as many other loving relatives and friends.

Daniel was born August 15, 1932 in Lexington, Nebraska. He served in the Navy during the Korean War, loved his family, football and boating and had a strong faith in God. He was affectionately known as "Poppy" to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, 155 County Road 24, Medina, Minnesota 55391, with visitation one hour prior to mass at church.
